Spokane, Washington

As the summer months wane and we have heat in many places in the US, those wanting to escape the heat might consider Spokane, Washington. Spokane is the second largest city in Washington. The city is located 110 miles south of the Canadian border and just 20 miles from the Idaho border. This moderate climate features all four seasons and has over 260 days of sunshine so much different than other locations in the state.  During our visit in mid-July it was around 80 degrees but did hit an unprecedented 90 degrees one day while we were there.
